Best setup for a beginner fly fisherman?

Fly fishing only experience I have is shown on the Outdoor Channel, looks great fun. I like fly fishing for crappie, bluegill, sunfish, and bass. I'll be living in Texas, and love to fish, but I've always used gear spinning and baitcasting. Any help you may have to be very much appreciated, I am applying for a summer job and a savings plan a little and get a nice setup. I love fishing and have almost no doubt that I love fly fishing, so I will not get the shakespeare $ 30 at Wal-Mart. And if someone can explain the rod system / Weight of the line? I've heard a lot about eight bars of weight, and nothing on the line, and I have no idea what "eight weight" means. Thanks

Actually the $ 30 special wally world is what you want to buy. Doing so they do not fish for trout with this system and have never done this type of fishing before. The fish you are after is very easy to take on fly gear. Get the $ 30 special and some flies and poppers in the same store. I also hope you do this from a ship or fleet tube of a pond or lake without it being a nightmare unless there are no trees or bushes growing along the edges of the water body
