fly fishing with spinner rod?

okay, so i’ve been fishing quite alot but I don’t have a flyfishing rod or reel. I was just wondering what I should use if I go river fishing for trout and salmon. I had a couple of ideas : a hook with some weights and a feather or just maggots.
could you please tell me which ones work and if you have any other suggestions.

Yeah id go for some spinners aswell but small silvery green ones or silvery blue ones for when the suns out and red silvery ones for when its cloudy ask the person in the tackle shop for a suitable salmon/trout spinner their always more than happy to help and advise.
Also how about a bubble float, you basically tie your main line to the bubble float, fill it with water half way then on the otherside of the float tie some fly line onto it then onto an actual fly itself, this works in the same way as a fly rod its just a bit heavier but is very effective for your cause.
